Space Coast Wine Guild Meeting Minutes

Meeting Date:                November 30, 2006

Meeting Place:                Schecter Center

Attendance:                    26

Our meeting was held on the 5^th Thursday of November because of Thanksgiving and started at 7:40 p.m.

Old Business:

We discussed plans for the Christmas Party which was being held on December 9.  All volunteers should arrive at 4:00 on that day to help set up tables and decorations.  Mary Shaw volunteered to bring the Christmas tree, and Kathy Snavely the music and boom box.

Donnie spoke about the WineMaker Magazine article about the club in the December/January issue, and the American Wine Society Convention which he and Betty attended early in November.  This was the final year of judge training for Betty and she passed her test and is now a wine judge graduate.

Betty reminded the club members that the Wine Fest is coming up in March and if members are still interested in going, some plans will need to be made regarding reservations, tickets, transportation.

New Business:

Susan Dahl wanted club members to be aware that wine gift bags could be purchased at Your Dollar Store on Wickham next to Old Time Pottery.  They are nice bags for gifts—not necessarily Christmas, but all year.

Voting for 2007 Officers and Executive Board Members took place. Votes were as follows:

President – Donnie Nettles

Vice President – Andy Harrell

Secretary – Betty Nettles

Treasurer – Still Kathy Snavely

Executive Board Members:  Sue Stephens, Terri Johnson, and Denise Harrell.

A motion to close the meeting was made by Terri Johnson and seconded by Andy Harrell.
